I'm not his biggest fan either...but he is hardly the worst.

Many People consider him the best you know, including me. Most of his films are true masterpieces. Sure, they are not challenging in the sence of other great directors as Hitchcock, Lynch, Aronofsky or Kubrick to name a few. But when it comes Down to the most important thing in Movies; The entertainment, there are none above him. "Raiders" is my alltime favourite Movie by the way.

He's a good mainstream Hollywood director and that's about it.
I also don't think his movies are true masterpieces. Maybe you should also check out International cinema and independent movies and not just Hollywood mainstream popcorn movies.
