Can't Will Smith DIVORCE Jada Pinkett Smith?

After all, she's the main reason he snapped at Chris Rock in the first place, because she's proudly told her husband that she had an AFFAIR with another man, ON CAMERA, paints herself as a victim of him AND tells everyone about their sex lives!! This is an extremely strained relationship, and Rock's joke against his wife (perhaps perceived as another humiliation on her part) is what pushed him over the edge.

I mean, he's in tears and very upset during the commercial break and is being hugged by fellow actors but his wife couldn't give two shits about his state of mind, just sitting there as he sits down next to her.

No, Smith should not have struck Rock, but he was angry and frustrated, and let Rock know that by yelling at him. I thought Smith was defending his wife all this time, but now I see it's like Rock was endorsing his wife rather than him, I'm not sure.

So if Will and Jada's marriage is so absolutely toxic, why hasn't he divorced her?

I feel sorry for him, he looks like he loves and cares more for her than the other way round. That's the impression I get at least from the video of the talk they had over their relationship, where he looked a hurt, broken man behind his eyes, and she demonstrated only self-pity, or worse, a positivity for herself over her experiences.

The slap was an attempt to defend a wife he is now hopelessly trying to placate in order that she remain with him and not run off into any more "entanglements". He still wants her hence not wanting to divorce, whereas who knows what she really wants.

She wants TuPac who didn't want her (because it's pretty clear if he wanted her he easily would have had her).
I know he said nice things about her but how could he not be nice to someone who worshiped him the way she did/ does?

He died before he could fail. SO in her mind, he's perfect then slipped out of her fingers by fate, not him walking away.

If TuPac we're still alive today he'd probably have been divorced 10 times, with loads of kids, old, grey and out of touch with a ton of bad business decisions under his belt and a drink/drugs problem.

Not quite as romantic.

I have no idea how Tupac's career or life would have gone.
Snoop was living wild back then and he's a business mogul with one of the longest and most successful marriages in Hollywood.
BUT I know Tupac wouldn't be with Jada. Jada would have a hard time finding another man who would put up with her controlling, manipulating bs for any length of time.

There are people on his side. Many have expressed the same feelings you and I have. It's generally common knowledge - amongst people who follow celeb news - that she's an awful person who treats him like shit. Outrage? No, you're right. There isn't that, but there's definitely people on his side.

In that second video where Jada is filming him, he looks like a kid who has just been spanked and yelled at by his parents. It made me sad just watching him. He looks defeated. Awful. What a horrible woman.

Defeated is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw her tell him - on TV - she cheated on him. She is rotten to the core.

You ever see that interview from when she and her mom - who is just as bad - lectured Aunt Becky's kid after the college scandal? Aunt Becky's kid came on in an attempt to tell her story and repair her rep. Jada's mom started ranting and raving at the kid about white privileged.

Dude is trapped in a family with a bunch of wretched women who just beat people down.

No, I have not seen that. The videos posted in the post I replied to were the first I had ever seen of anything about he and Jada.

It just shocked me how child-like and lost he looked. It was sad.

It's really sad. This guy was beloved for years. Fresh Prince, Independence Day, Bad Boys, I Am Legend. He never got into trouble or talked shit about anyone. Good guy, generally liked.

He gets mocked for not cursing in his music, as if that makes him not tough. Then somewhere along the line, it became cool to laugh at his box office failures (in recent years) and root against him. Now this. This guy never did anything to anyone and took shit for years. I think he finally cracked. I hope he gets away from her,but I don't think he will. He's got two weird kids with her and even if they divorce, he's still going to have to deal with her to a degree. Poor guy is broken.

Something else too, for all of that shit he got for being the "G" rated star of his generation, he marries this narcissist who spends her life rubbing Tupac in his face.

She would walk away with every cent if they got a divorce. It wouldn’t be like when Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman broke up or anything like that. Kiddman was an a-list actress worth millions even without Tom so I doubt she hit him up for much, if anything. Will is worth several times more than Jada who had some success in the 90s and early 00s but has otherwise just been the lady Will Smith is married to. Additionally, Jada is a pretty nasty and vindictive person. Even though she openly admitted she hates being married, we all know she would rain down unholy vengeance on Will if he ever even mentioned the D word.

Why would he divorce her? She is the reason he got an Oscar. She whined so much the last time he lost, that the Academy had to give it to him or else she would have another fit.

That marriage has been wiiiiiiide open on both sides for ages, but they've stayed married because they have both believed that being married is good for their careers.

She'll never leave, because if they divorce she's just another Hollywood ex-wife, but he may decide she's now a liability or blame her for this mess (which is totally his fault). If they divorce it'll be a long and ugly fight, conducted almost entirely outside the public eye, so don't get out the popcorn, but *do* keep an eye on the blind items! They're both bi so each will have plenty of dirt on the other they can threaten to make public, but she'll have the advantage of having less to lose - he's the one who thinks he can still get back on the A-list.
