Become a B-Movie star?

Watch Bullet to the Head, and his role in very small, and his filmography is full of low budget and B movies...

He is cashing in on a reputation he made early in his career.

He is not interested in his art, just in the $$$$$

Just heard his radio advertisement for auto trader. Guess he is cashing in on his rep.

the guy has to eat too, he was HUGE in the late 80's early 90's no question but for some reason he didnt move forward with the stars around that time,
and he was left to straight to dvd and the odd good movie.
its unfortunate but it happens to plenty of artists and humans. thats just how it goes sometimes.
but hey he is working, making money, and still in the game.. so good on him
at the end of the day , its all about survival

reply

yes, he has become one.

but that already happened a decade ago.

Not a lot of great movies, but I still think he's one of the coolest actors ever.

So if someone offered you one-million dollars to play a cross-dressing pedophile in a crap B movie you would say "Are you kidding? There is no artistic value in that!" and walk away? Someone once asked Justin Timberlake (before he became a big actor) if he was embarrassed about being in (whichever boy band he was in, I can't remember). His response was "If someone offered you millions of dollars and fame to dance around like an idiot and sing bad songs, would you say no? (or something to that effect).

I don't think he's had a truly noteworthy role since True Romance. He's been in a couple noteworthy movies since then, but only a couple - and his personal roles in those films were minor and unmemorable. I don't know what happened to him. I used to really like him. I think he has talent. But for whatever reason he has come to minor roles in crap movies. Does he maybe have a reputation as being difficult to work with ?

reply

murder in the first was great!
difficult to work with? I dont think that would be the problem, and never heard anything like that about him. it's hollywood, one star fades another shines bright
