WHAT WAS HIS FIRST FLOP?

...

I think it started with "On deadly ground", then a few ups and downs, then mostly downhill from "The Patriot". That was his first truly bad film I watched.

Interesting...

I think On Deadly Ground debuted at #1 though, didn't it?

Don't know, but that was the movie where he started playing sort of "monk" characters, all philosophical. All the previous ones were pure action. He's not good enough actor (or director) to pull of movies with a message.

He's a terrible actor.

I think it was 1995 with him getting sucked out of the plane with that Kirk Russel movie.

There it was...the trailer in 1995 and he's just the supporting actor.

I haven't seen that film in awhile, but I think he gets sucked out of the plane.

He does. But that was, if I recall, to get him off the set. I think he was supposed to have a bigger role, but he was insufferable, so they did a double whammy - got rid of him and did a "Janet Leigh" by killing him off mid-movie.
