Her career never 'really' took off?

I remember seeing the then very beautiful Mia Sara in "Legend". She was so young and fresh-faced, I was sure that Hollywood would snatch her up for more films.
She was in a few big films, but not many!
She wasn't the world's best actress, but she did well enough and besides, Hollywood doesn't always care about that if you're beautiful.

I wonder what happened.

yeah. i was thinking that same thing myself....
She was in Legend, then Ferris Bueller....so she was certainly on the write track...

there must be a story there somewhere.....some reason she dropped out of hollywood..

"Widely known"? Is this just hearsay, or are there sources? I always assumed she was pretty mild.
