Beautiful Mia and her bad choices

I fell in love with Mia while watching "Legend" back in 1986. I remember thinking how there was no other actress out there like Mia, she had a unique, natural beauty and incredible screen presence (i.e.-charisma). She also showed a wonderful range in this film as she went from innocent princess to possessed Dark Lord's intended.....although Tim Curry added real substance with his demon potrayal, he had lot's of help with makeup and voice enhancements. Mia, young, beautiful and inexperienced, carried this film, in spite of the presence of a lackluster Tom Cruise performance. Mia was very good the following year in "Ferris Bueller's Day off", but despite having unique appeal, started down a path of bad choices thereafter, that never allowed her to show her true potential or abilities. I'm still in awe watching her in "Legend", as I do from time to time. She was wasted in almost everything else, or relegated to being just eye candy. What a shame.

I agree, she looked absolutely stunning in Legend, and I am fond of the film too mainly becuase of Mia, Tim Curry and Jerry Goldsmith's music. Other than Legend and Ferris Bueller's Day off, I haven't seen her in much else, and that is a shame, because she is or was a lovely actress.

Thank you for the Goldsmith shout-out. He’s one of the very few true master composers for movies. I’m SO GLAD the Director’s Cut reinserted his original score. The score for the theatrical release that the studio forced down our throats was techno crap, guaranteed to age the day it was recorded.

She was on 'Timecop' and actually had a brief erotic scene. She was very beautiful .

She kept up the theatrical films for a while. Not so much anymore. She should though. I think it was all the TV and direct-to-video films that did it. Movies like The Maddening that are cheap ad sleazy, and she was always above it. That'll do it I guess.

No. The REAL version—the director’s cut—has the REAL music, by Jerry Goldsmith, and also the REAL narrative. The theatrical release is crap.

I agree, Mia was very beautiful in Legend, one of my childhood favorites growing up. She also had a way of stealing the show in FBDO. There were lots of memorable scenes, but the one where she asks Cameron if he saw her changing her clothes is amazing in terms of how it portrays both innocence and confident sensuality. And given the slight similarities of the films (FBDO, not Legend), for me it was Phoebe Cates in F.T.A.R.H. and Mia Sara in FBDO. Different characters; totally different energies -- Mia had more of an elegant, intelligent heat, and Phoebe just had a raw, piercing kind of heat.

I enjoyed all of her eye candy roles. She got naked quite a bit and she looked great.

haha, you replied just 8 hours ago and I'm courious: where have you seen her naked? Like many others here, I had a small crush on her in the 80s, growing up, but I don't remember her getting naked.

Saw her topless in Time Cop. Looked like she had had a boob job, but still they looked fantastic. She is one of the most beautiful girls of the 1980's. Her and Phoebe Cates were the stuff of dreams.

Not a terrible boob job, but like so many they lack any sense that there’s this thing called gravity.

If one ‘researches’ this it appears that at some point in the early nineties, as her career dwindled and she ended up in more and more sleazy erotic direct-to-vide fare, she indeed had a boob job.

A subtle one, but enough to get that ‘balloon’ effect.

I mean it's kind of decent as boob jobs go since she didn't bolt on ridiculous D cups, it looks more like she took decent A/Bs and went C/D. The problem being that they look artificially erect and lacking much in softness.

You'd expect that "look" in an 18 year old, except that they would have some flexibility. On Mia, they look too firm.

I mean it's possible she didn't have one, but some of her nudity in her early thirties has a level of erectness that's just not believable.

It wasn't the level of erectness that was a dead giveaway it was the fact that she moved, hugged someone or whatever they didn't move, didn't get flatter when on her back and didn't droop when she leaned over, it was as if they were sold and glued on tits.

Hence ‘balloon’, gravity had no effect on them. Boobs should move in a ‘watery’ way.

Also, her nipples seem bigger in the post-job footage, she might have had them increased.

It makes me wonder if they more or less added implant mass and just attempted to stretch her existing outer breast skin more taut. She might have been just born with kind deflated breasts -- "flappers" -- that could just be puffed out.

In "Black Day Blue Night" her nipples have some obvious asymmetry, so I don't think there was a whole lot done to alter her nipples, I'd wonder if any apparent enlargement could be written off as some kind of cosmetic application for filming a topless scene. Besides just a stretching of the breast skin and hence aerola area, I don't know that there's much in the way of enlarging nipples or aerola possible except as a secondary result of the outer tissue layer enlarging through stretching.

areolas can get larger simply from having kids because when the tits enlarge it sometimes stretches the areolas out and they don't shrink back after wards... also if you look at some women that get large implant their areolas will often get ridiculously large, whether they enlarge asymmetrically or not is probably down to the plastic surgeon not creating the pocket for the implant in the right place.
