I remember back in 08 when she was filming the Star Trek reboot there were reports of Winona getting "furious" on set because they weren't allowed a smoke break, later I saw a news article from 2012 that showed her smoking a pack a day on the set of Homefront, since then though I don't think there are any reports of her smoking, did she quit? Also when did she start? I'm guessing early 90's but I could be wrong.

shareShe started quite young, definitely before the 90s. When she talked about being beaten up for being mistaken for a gay boy at junior high, she described looking at her bruised face in the mirror at home afterwards, lighting up a cigarette and pretending she was in a movie. She also smokes a lot in Heathers (1988), yes it could have been in the script but I bet she was a smoker by then anyway.
I'm not sure when she was last photographed smoking, she could have quit by now for all I know.
You'd think she would have ditched that look. And try to stay out of jail. Especially now. You can't smoke there =(Maybe she likes being mistaken =)I gots 98...
