Loved her in Ginger Snaps

I was watching Ginger Snaps on tv. I knew nothing about the movie. To my surprise, it was a very good, quirky, offbeat indie take on the traditional werewolf movie. It was quite good.

But what was very surprising was that Mimi Rogers played the mom! And a very non-traditional mom, at that.

Mimi never became really famous, but she has worked a lot over the years and has developed a solid reputation and a fan base. She is a good actress, and a natural looking beauty with a knockout figure. She also marries younger men, so I guess she looks young in person, not just on the screen.

The one disappointment about her is that I think she's a scientologist. Her first husband was, so maybe that's who got her into it. And I wonder if she got Tom Cruise got into it. Strange that scientologists don't act weird when I see them on tv, but stories about their private lives reveal that they are weird, and they must be weird to be scientologists.
