Could Keanu Reeves pull off a character like that, whimsical, lude, crude, adventurous, but likeable? Not an imitation of Johnny Depp, but his own version.

No. Keanu is basically quiet. He can be intense and quiet, or he can be mellow and quiet, or sad and quiet... but he can't be loud and mouthy.
