Maybe I'm just noticing now. I've known who Bill Paxton was, but seeing him in a lot of recent mainstream movies lately with respectable parts has given him a chance to showcase his range. From 2 Guns, Edge of Tomorrow, and Nightcrawler he's just great and varied in every part. He's always a very natural & present actor. He's not calculated or premeditated or "actory" seeming in his versatility. He just seems to embody the parts with integrity and authenticity.

Definitely one of my favorite actors.

He gives solid performance every role he plays.

He was the greatest in Big Love. Just so convincing as a father. I think he put himself there as a real father to characterize his persona as Bill Henrickson.
