I won't remember him as any specific "character", although there are plenty to look back to, but mostly, I will remember him as "Bill Paxton", a talented filmmaker, whose career I have been following since I was a teenager, and who is so passionate and perfectionist about making movies as an actor as well as a director like hardly no other person in the business that I know of. Unfortunately, he is very much underrated, but in terms of work ethics, he can certainly keep up with Steven Spielberg or his best friend James Cameron. His full potential is visible when you observe him working as a director.
Whenever he speaks about the movies, he is very much like a kid in a toy store: his eyes sparkle and he can talk for hours, and loves talking about his childhood memories and how he was influenced by so many movies that eventually raised that passion in him. I can very much relate to that.
He is not playing that major Hollywood "game", wears the same outfit more than once on the red carpet, and always comes the way he is, staying true to himself. Very grounded.
It was him, who greatly influenced my path. Being a filmmaker myself, it had always been a wish to work with Paxton. I think, there is a lot that I can learn from him. I hope, I will get this chance one day.
