He starts talking about Austin Powers 4 every time one of his new films flops. Shrek and Austin Powers are like his Get Out of Jail Free cards. I don't doubt it'll be made eventually, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Wayne's World 3 at some point, either.

The thing is he shouldn't go to the 80's. It's not the character. Going to the 70's was just out of cannon with the rest of the series but the idea was he was a 60's swinger. Austin Powers has no place in the 80's.

So what? if Dr. Evil is in the 80's he'll go to the freaking 80's so there, he'd go to the feaking future if he had too...YAH BABY! :D....sorry.

I'd love to see Austin Powers go back to the 80's. I couldn't think of a better idea for the movie than that. Also, I'd like to see what they would do with the DR. Evil character now that we know he and Austin are Brothers. I am still hoping for Wayne's World 3.

Going back in time AGAIN would be terrible.. I mean.. for the fourth time? Surely (hopefully) he can come up with a newer fresher plot and some better character development between him and whoever plays the Austin Powers girl (Beyonce was a terrible choice and besides that there was very little character development between Austin and "Foxy").

Idk, going back in time has almost turned into a staple of the Powers franchise. They could pull off going back in time, but it would have to be a joke of itself, making fun of the unoriginality
