I respect Alyssa

I've seen a TV commercial where Alyssa asks viewers to sponsor a starving child in Africa. Kudos! In an age where celebrities seem to focus their attention on animal rights, it's refreshing to see someone remembering that people matter more than animals.

I've never cared for Alyssa, one way or another, but I say she merits our respect for putting humanity first.

Way to go, Ms. Milano!

My first question would be how much was her salary to make this commercial. And, it is a commercial designed to hit us in our pocketbooks. The plight of the starving is real. But, guess what, there are probably starving children in your town and city. We could put a bag of groceries on their table regularly to help starving children and not have that money line the pockets of the corporation looking to make big buck. Charity begins at home; we need it right here in the US!!

1 / There's nothing wrong with helping animals. They are citizens of this Earth just like the rest of us and they deserve our love, care and respect.

2/ Just because there are many poor and sick children in the US doesn't mean we should stop caring about sick and starving children in the Third Wolrd .A child is a child no matter where he/she comes from.Besides , a child's conditions in Thord Wolrd countries are far worse than the ones of a child living in the US.

Just keep on believing that if it helps ease the discomfort.

Doing any kind of charity is good thing no matter if its human or animals. There is charity for people. I don't see anything wrong with helping animals.
