I like Steve Martin and LA Story is one of my favourite film. But I'm a little bit glad that the remakes, Father Of ... and Cheaper By ... , have dropped away. No doubt profitable at the time but I always thought of them as a bit of a sell out.

Agreed. Looking at this list I've never watched any of his movies past 1991.

But I've put Novocaine on my watch list.
