Celebrating getting number one "hits" on an irrelevant chart

Radio play and sales play no part in the Dance chart. The last time Madonna had a number one on the Hot 100 - the chart that actually matters - was way back in 2000. Mariah Carey has had five number one hits since then, the last being in 2019. She has 19 in total compared to Madonna's 12. It's sad that Madonna and her fans are celebrating a meaningless chart accompishment.

I don’t know, guy, the facts kind of speak for themselves:

“With sales of over 300 million records worldwide, Madonna is the best-selling female recording artist of all time. She is the most successful solo artist in the history of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and holds the record for the most number-one singles by a female artist in Australia, Canada, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. With a revenue of over U.S. $1.5 billion from her concert tickets, she remains the highest-grossing solo touring artist of all time.”

I’d say her accomplishments are slightly more than meaningless.
