Getting harder to understand

Is it just me or has Dolph gotten harder to understand recently? In Showdown in Little Tokyo his accent is definitely still there, but his speech isn't slurred or anything like it's been in more recent films, for example One in the Chamber or even the two Expendables movies. He sounds like he's doing a bad Sean Connery impression, or like someone else said, like he's talking through poorly seated dentures. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think a little of that was for the effect of the character, but the same sort of slurred speech is carrying over to his other films.

I think he has a pair of poorly seated dentures, to be upfront about it.
