I've seen a couple of her tweets where she seemingly supports "prays for her fellow Ukrainians".

I am a bit confused, because as far as i know from internets - she was born in Soviet Kiev (i have similar background with all my relatives are from Russian/Soviet Ukraine only we are Jews, not Orthodox like Mila) to a Serbian dad and Russian mom. So it seems a bit ungrateful of her. Especially that it was Russian fans who kept her popularity even long after her one hit wonder 5th Element.

If some Chechnya is part of Russian Federation, then Ukraine that much more. if Quebec (where i live) is Canada, then Ukraine is infinitely more so Russia. If Canada is ruled by overseas overlords from London aka "Canadian" monarchy (look at official documents, canadian banknotes, canadian Oath of Allegiance, canadian courts where it's the london Crown vs. person), then Ukraine should be governed by Kremlin.
Ukraine should be reintegrated back into Russia as a province of Russian federation. Ukraine was very quickly and most likely - illegally - granted independence in the post-Soviet collapse amidst utter chaos and corruption.
Russia is a multi-ethnic multicultural multi-nation realm and Ukraine is an integral historic part of Great Russia and the very birthplace of Rus, Kiev - the mother of Russian towns.

Soviet Kiev = Ukraine. She was born in Ukraine, and lived there as a child. This is why she sympathizes.

Do you understand the nature of the former USSR?

Seems like a great many Ukrainians don't want to be ruled be plutocrats like Putin. An independent Ukraine offers a chance at fair and representative government, something Russia has never offered.

granted Yanukevich was a corrupt scum bag of a President, but he was ELECTED. how is it OK to overthrow an democratically elected president of a country? but when it's convenient like Yemen - he is still teh legitimate president, right?

how is Quebec a province of Canada while completely different languages and cultures. historically enemies English and French.

Ukraine is infinitely more so Province of Russia then Quebec of canada, under symbolic Queen of England

Ukriane should be symbolically administred from kremlin, have autonomy but official call as Province

she identifies as ukranian, at least to the extent of not wanting them in throes of war. her fellow russians and her fellow serbians are currently enjoying peace so it'd be silly for her to ask people to "pray" for serbs and russians when ukranians are the only ones dying?

Not to mention that she asked for prayers which sounds super sensitive and *beep* but it does nothing to actually help those people. she might have as well said "please eat some lettuce to support my fellow ukranians"
