Definitely Tom Hanks

i think they are both really talented actors. it's close but i would say Russel Crowe.

tom. crowe doe not have the big box office pull that tom has. crowe is pretty much a b-list actor now days.

I think he meant to ask who we think is the better actor. Their popularity is COMPLETELY irrelevant.

I think they are both equally great but at very different things. I think Tom is generally better in emotional roles while Russel is better at being a little rough around the edges, badass if you will.

Its like comparing chalk and cheese.

I cannot see Hanks in Gladiator and I cannot see Crowe as Forrest Gump!

I like Crowe but Hanks has always been one of my favorite actors.

I also cannot see Hanks as a gladiator but I can see Crowe as Forrest Gump.
