Boycotted by Hollywood because he stands for Tibet
And sadly the Hollywood producers wants to sell their movies in China. Thats a shame!

shareThats a shame indeed
shareLOL...
He's not "boycotted" by Hollywood because he's "Anti-China".
He was a very big movie star in 1990...but 3 decades have passed.
And there really aren't "movie stars" anymore!
There hasn't been since a decade ago or maybe two...
There all just big movie players who surface for 2, 3 or 4 years and just flame out.
At least he's still around, void of any controversy and still headlining pictures.
True, he has been in some stinkers ... quite a few, but maybe it is because he cannot get blockbuster roles because they want sales in China too?

There was a Simpson's episode where the Simpson family was in Tienanmen Sq. There was a sign there:

Disney, which now owns The Simpsons, removed this probably at the direction of the CCP.
If anyone wanted to hire Gere at this point, they would do so realizing that they will lose the revenue of China in distributionn.
No-one in Hollywood stands for anything anymore. They kneel for lowlifes though. Progress.
shareHe stood with Tibet before hating on China was cool beanz with Alt-Right conservatives who pretend to be Anti-CCCP because their Commie-phobia has run its course. He also was never "banned" for his anti-China/Pro-Tibet stance either, except maybe in China but not by Hollywood.
shareEvidence?
