Was anti-vaxxer until ...

... 2017, then he got TDS! Now he's broke because of COVID. Karma.

Back in 2016 he and RFK Jr offered $100k to anyone who proved vaccines were safe. However, he pulled the Andrew Wakefield fake documentary linking Autism to vaccines from Tribeca festival.

reply

Good for him. He altered his views on a complicated topic instead of sticking dogmatically to them. Commendable!

reply

It's not complicated at all: It's an experimental vax/booster (actually experimental gene therapy) that pharmaceutical companies, e.g. Pfizer & Moderna, are immune from legal liability and Feds, like Congress & staff and USPS, are exempt from being forced to get despite Obiden's mandate. Gee, why is that? I realize that some people are getting the vax out of desperation to keep their jobs -- which is utterly criminal in America (or anywhere) -- but, beyond that, you'd have to be really gullible or stupid to either get it or sincerely be pro-(Covid)vax.

reply

Source on it being experimental gene therapy? Gene therapy means the actual modification of the patient's genome in whichever cells are being targeted, not just the introduction of exogenous genetic material like mRNA. Without an enzyme like Reverse Transcriptase these mRNAs would have no possible way of being transcribed to DNA and attaching to the host cell's chromsomes

mRNA > translated to a viral binding protein > B cells and T cells initiate the immune response. That seems fairly straightforward to me

I'm not against people being skeptical about the vaccine or about anything in medicine or science. But I am aware of the "anti-vax" movement that's been around for decades now, and many people in that movement have been known to spread blatant misinformation

reply

jail this fool.

reply

Have you ever considered going back to school?

reply

The bottom line is that there's a misguided vaccine mandate and yet Feds are exempt and the pharmaceutical companies are not liable for health problems that result, even death (the proverbial "rules for thee, not for me" applies).

Is this not a huge red flag? You don't have to be an Einstein to see that it's dubious at the very least and diabolical at worst.

reply

I do agree with this in a general way. Epidemiology and the anti-vax phenomenon have been pet subjects of mine for years, well before Covid happened. I don't like the broad shaming of people who are skeptical of the vaccine, because most of the time these people doing the shaming A) don't know much about the subject themselves, and B) they're mistaking genuine open-minded skeptics with the more ideologically-rigid anti-vaxxers. You're not doing science any favors by blindly saying that you're "pro-science", that's not how science works. There ARE historical precedents, like the Cutter incident, that should make people ask serious questions about what they're putting in their bodies

And I think the vaccine mandates are crossing an ethical line. Beyond the obvious encroachment on civil liberties, one of my big objections is that these mandates are, in essence, subsidizing these giant pharmaceutical companies

I don't personally believe that there is anything diabolical at work. At least not anything more diabolical than the usual diabolical machinations of self-interested politicians and corporations, which for me is bad enough on its own

reply

If members of congress & their staffs, postal workers (yes, mail-carriers who go house-to-house), etc. are exempt from the vaccine mandate, as well as illegal immigrants pouring through the border, given money, and dispersed throughout the country -- which is glaringly happening -- PLUS pharmaceutical companies are immune from liability, any person with a smidgen of common sense KNOWS THAT THE VACCINE MANDATE IS A JOKE. And anyone who jumps on board to push it and malign those who wisely reject it are misguided sheep. 'Nuff said.

reply

The 'FDA' wants to hide details of the Pfizer vax for 55 years. They already have immunity, so why the great wait?

Needless to say, you can't make this excrement up!

reply

I'm not sure what you're referencing with this. Is it some news coming from the FDA?

reply

Such a shame too; used to love him and Springsteen until TDS, now can't stand either anymore. I know they don't care, but it kinda hurts me, esp Bruce.
