we need a competent director to give bob the roles he deserves in the films that deserve him, ffs! it baffles me that we aren't getting even the occasional gem these days, you'd think there would be at least a few great filmmakers with some great ideas for the guy!

Actually, he might have something before The Irishman. Word has it, his performance in The Comedian might just earn him an Academy Award nomination.
