how come he never does interviews? i mean like never? him, pacino, Nicol

son never do interviews. and I'm wondering why? you know what dicaprio never does interviews either. maybe he is copying these actors? you never see pacino, Nicolson, or de niro in interviews. it's so weird because a job of actors is to promote their films. but these actors never did it. usually you see good big, Hollywood actors talking about their movies on talk shows like the tonight show or late night with david letterman or some other big talk show but these 3 actors never did it and never do it, why?

Funny you ask this. He just appeared on ESPN / First Take today for a short interview about his upcoming film so there you go!

"He will bring them DEATH and they will love him for it...."

reply

I know, I thought about that because it contradicts what I said, but that's one interview, one interview, why not one every year for every movie he makes? he does an interview maybe, maybe once every 5 years. why is that? and you never see him on SNL or any other show. most Hollywood stars are on a talk show promoting their movie every single year.

also he was on the "Mike & Mike" radio show on ESPN radio and "His & Hers" sports discussion show on ESPN 2.

So, he was a big ESPN guy this week. 😁

Well his lack of availability (and others) just adds to the mystique.....adds to the legend.

"He will bring them DEATH and they will love him for it...."

You must be talking about the young DeNiro of the 1970's because for you to say that he never does interviews these days is ridiculous!
Bob pops up on the Today show and the Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon every so often!

Over the years, he has made several visits to Today, GMA, Live with Regis and Kelly, Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The View, Larry King, etc.. Not only has he been a guest host 3 times on SNL, but he has made several surprise visits.
I think you are confusing him with not doing interviews to being difficult to interview!
Yes, he can be a difficult interview sometimes by not saying much on TV but then again he is not very articulate when just being himself. A great film actor still needs a good script to deliver the goods.

He's been on The Graham Norton Show in the UK several times quite recently as well.

I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder.

reply

He does bad interviews because he's a dullard in real life.

Several years ago De Niro and Dustin Hoffmann went on Letterman, I think it was before the last Focker movie came out. I remember it because through the entire interview De Niro would not look at Letterman. While De Niro was talking he would look straight ahead or maybe at Hoffmann, but he would not look at Letterman. I wondered what the hell that was about.....Does he dislike Letterman? Letterman didn't call him on it, probably felt lucky to have De Niro on the show so he let it go.
