Not all terrorism is unwarranted. For example, US used nuclear bombs on Japan, that without a doubt is a terrorist act. But many mainstream media, at least the US ones, argued it was warranted.
Take Hamas for example, which is a Palestinian terrorist group. At least US called them that.
But think what was happening to Gaza, it was walled by Israel on all sides, Egypt also built walls at their borders at the request of Israel. Even the shores were guarded by Israeli navy, over decades at least 20 humanitarian ships with food and medicine, most of them were actually from US, were stopped by Israeli navy, nothing could get through.
People in Gaza survived because hundreds of tunnels at Egypt borders, which were less guarded. Some of them so large you can drive cars through them.
I think what Israel was trying to do was a quiet genocide, starving people in Gaza to death, so they can occupy and absorb Gaza. It was quite obvious what Israel was trying to do, now they are just doing it less quietly.
So I would not blame people in Gaza becoming terrorists, the alternative is dying quietly.
