Did scientology capitalize on the success of Top Gun: Maverick?

People seem to forget he's the poster boy for the recruitment of new members. Like those Uncle Sam wants you posters.

Scientology is getting a good chunk of his salary, so yes, it is capitalizing on it.

Maybe people who like the movie will be like “Tom Cruise was great in Top Gun: Maverick… I guess Scientology isn’t so bad!”
