Moonraker -- Bond in space! -- was a jump-the-shark moment for the Roger Moore tenure as Bond. Will it be the same for the MI series?

I cannot imagine how they could write a script that would take Cruise's character to the ISS and still keep it grounded. It takes months of prep, and a s**tload of logistics/paperwork,etc to make it happen. Usually in these movies, Hunt is dashing around the globe in days or hours.

So how will they get around that lack of spontaneity in a script?

Thinking like a scriptwriter, I'm picturing a scene where Ethan Hunt infiltrates a SpaceX launch site, knocks out a back up astronaut, steals his stylish space suit, then sprints to the rocket just before it lifts off, to cling to it and ride it all the way to the ISS where he must then fight his way... slowly... inside.
