I read a article recently in the New York Review of Books.
They gave a critical review on a new feminist themed book (forgot the name).. but the reviewer had a sentence that made me chuckle.

I don't think it's about beta or alpha, it's about laws and rules.
Unless you are an idiot, or are doing it to save a life, there's no chance that slapping a woman is ever gonna turn in your favor.
Even years after the slapping, she will still have it over you about "that one time you slapped me". Even if she doesn't say anything, when the shit hits the fan, it is a fact that she could always use against you (in a divorce trial, for instance). And there is no argument that will excuse you.
It is true, women will respect you if you manhandle them when it is necessary, but at the same time the modern law gives them a complete advantage against the manhandler.
If anything, slapping a woman nowadays is the true sign of love, like marrying them: gotta be a complete fool to do either, unless you knowingly want to give them a huge legal advantage over you.
Find a woman who knows how the dynamic between men and women should be. They're out there (in dwindling numbers).
