His Voice Changed Around 1966

Ever noticed that in his early Bond films, circa 1962-1964, his voice seems a higher pitch, and then around 1966, when he was filming "You Only Live Twice", not only did he start to physically age more, but his voice sounds deeper in his films. He was 36 at the time.

It's true! In his earlier work you could notice his voice and accent was also lighter!

It wasn't just his voice that changed. If you can find videos of him from the late 50's early 60's his Scottish accent is a lot more "normal" as in he actually sounds like a Scottish person. Early on he seems to have developed his own style of accent.

Not that I blame him. At the time in the U.K, regional accents were looked down upon, all actors and media presenters did it in those days.
