Who has the best Filmography?
No one beats Tom Cruise overall filmography in general counting all actors etc and not only that but he's got the largest volume of movies i score a 7 or higher from anyone out there @ 13 movies.
also, his longevity is pretty much unmatched as i doubt there is another actor out there who's held as steady as he has for basically 30 years now. sure, i realize he's not as popular as he once was (say from about 1986 through mid-2000's or so he was probably at his peak popularity) but he's still popular enough, especially if you factor in outside of the USA to.
so to compare Cruise to the others on your list in terms of volume of movies i gave a 7 or higher, just to show you how much further they are behind Cruise for me personally...
Tom Cruise = 13 movies
Denzel Washington = 5 movies
Leo Dicaprio = 5 movies
George Clooney = 4 movies
Tom Hanks = 4 movies
Johnny Depp = 4 movies
Brad Pitt = 4 movies
Russell Crowe = 2 movies
Christian Bale = 1 movie
Will Smith = 0 movies
p.s. there is only 211 movies out of the 2,000+ total i have seen that managed to score a 7 or higher from me (and 42 of those movies are between those actors listed above which is just shy of 20% of everything i gave a 7 or higher). so as you can see not many movies stand out from the pack for me in general. i still like movies i give a 6/10 but only mildly as the 7's and higher stand out from the pack.
Who is the most talented?
you can't really go wrong with a high percentage of those names. but i will say Bale has the least overall presence of the ten actors mentioned which makes him the worst of the ten listed in my mind.
Bale is one of those more technically precise actors but does not have the screen presence/charisma that the others have which makes him all around weaker than everyone else on the list. so while Bale is not bad, when you compare him to those big name, he falls short.
Who is the most famous?
i am sure you could make a solid argument for most of the names on the list but obviously there are some that i would say are all around lower than others.
but outside of the Batman movies (which i imagine a lot of people have seen), i would say Bale is likely to be the least known name of the bunch amongst a wider range of people as if there is one person on that list who some people (especially older generations who might not be up on all of the latest famous people) may not know, it would be Bale as i think the rest of the names it's likely people know who they are almost for sure lacking maybe a couple or so.
but with all of that said... i would have to put my money on Tom Cruise if i only was picking one as the most famous especially given his longevity as no one on that list has been as all around popular as he has for as long as he has as Hanks would probably be the closest to Cruise in longevity, like in terms of how many years they been a pretty big name.
