Coen Bros offered Suburbicon to Clooney to direct in 2005: 🎥

The film will be Suburbicon, scripted by the Coens, with whom Clooney made O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Intolerable Cruelty. "They offered me a part in Suburbicon a long time ago, and since then decided they have other projects they want to work on,” he said. "So I called them up and said 'How about me taking a spin at it?' Because it's a really interesting, really funny, very dark comedy."

Clooney is currently working on The Good German, with Section 8 buddy Steven Soderbergh...

That's over 11 years to …perfect. Stagnant… Or does he know what he wants to do anymore…other than trial & error reckless PR ego trips. If he bothers to concentrate on his filming, instead of his obsession with his own fake public image...

11 years & no one financed this flop-to-be?!!
11 years since Clooney was attached to it.
Backed another winner…in every way.
His advisory team sure sabotage him. What a self-loathing mess...

Why 11 years? Because he couldn't get financing for Smokehouse after so many film flops?
He had to find money laundering investors to back him… & make compromises as part of the deal.
