1. Starman - the most recent film of his I've seen and I think the best, Bridges and Allen both superb, a stunning and beautiful film
2. The Thing - a great SF/horror film has aged incredibly well, the one I have rewatched the most
3. Halloween - still my favorite 'slasher' film, though there isn't a lot of slashing, not compared to most slasher films
4. Assault of Precinct 13 - very effective film, this was my first Carpenter film on a crappy VHS copy I bought at Walmart but even on that this film really stands out
5. The Fog - I recognize the silliness but I can't deny I enjoy watching this film
6. Christine - not nearly as good as the novel, which is one of King's very best, it's still a solid effort
7. Big Trouble in Little China - I was so looking forward to this but it just didn't work for me as comedy or as action or supernatural
8. Escape from New York - another disappointment, even more so, I didn't buy any of this film
9. They Live! - I watched it only one time and I didn't like much of it but I feel I should give this another try
10. Ghosts of Mars - pure crap, I hated this film, easily the worst Carpenter film
