Glory, Election, Ferris, Biloxi Blues, The Producers and his latest movie, Wonderful World. I also loved his small role in You Can Count on Me....

Interesting. I was watching one of his movies and honestly haven't seen a lot of them, but was wondering if anyone thought one of his performances was close to being "Oscar worthy".

I believe his performance in Glory should have at least warranted a nomination. He was that good. People could not look past his boyish look (even though the character was the same age as him)to see that he gave a tremendous performance. Since comedic actors are seldom nominated for a comedy, that leaves Matthew with very few opportunities to be considered.

Thanks. I figured Glory would be his best 'dramatic' performance. I love his comedies. FBDO, cable guy, etc, and never saw his more serious films, except War games, lol, which was great but I was just curious about other serious roles of his.
