shareShe has a unique blend of feminine sensuality, fragile, emotional and also looks very intelligent. You canŰ't help falling in love with her when she appears on the screen. She's a real type of those great Hollywood leading ladies from the golden age. And of course she's still one of the most beautiful woman on the planet.

Unfortunately, for the last twenty years or so, Ho'wood has been trying to convince us that certain Celebs are as uniquely gorgeous and All That as Kim Basinger, when they're not. The reason is that Hollywood is [redacted], and has been run into the ground.
I love her vulnerability, her way of acting with her face, the subtelty she brings to all her characters, the way she moves, walks and talks. She does underacting and I love her for that. She should work in Europe, where actresses don't need to scream or be drama queens to get an Oscar. They just need to be natural and act like breathing.
shareShe has a direct gaze and can even come across as somewhat coarse, but in other roles she has a kind of inhibited trepidation about her (which is very endearing).
She's also extraordinarily graceful, physically.
Often there's a smallness and quiteness (is that a word) to her approach that makes it look like she's really thinking, or really moving her way through a character's situation. This makes them seem like real people. (I haven't seen everything she's ever done, though. Obviously, she doesn't act like that in something like Cool World.)

...as actresses like melanie griffith and sharon stone fall into ridicule,and others like kathleen turner and daryl hanna fall off the map,kim basinger continues to work in hollywood by keeping her life private.
good or bad she can count on me to sit through any of her flicks,popcorn in hand and a smile on my face.
