At times Gillian reminds me of the early, Hurrell-shot Crawford, before the eyebrows took over.

The first time I saw Joan Crawford, in one of her 1930's movies with Gable, I was astonished by the similarity.

Watching her on X-Files in the later 90's, I keep thinking she would have made a particularly gorgeous actress in the 40's with the styles, especially the hairstyles/make up of that day. Her FBI dress outfits already looked as distinguished as the 40s put together look.

Interesting that another great actress (Jess Lange) that I love will be playing Joan Crawford soon.

I have never seen Gillian with brunette hair, but your comment made me see what you're talking about. The eyes are so the same as Joan Crawford.

The main difference is that Joan Crawford was a star! She walked, talked and acted like a star. Joan was a fine person and it is amazing how her reputation was ruined by an ungrateful brat who Joan adopted.
