People don't think too highly of him after what he did to Jennifer Aniston. Even Angelina is claiming some stuff about their own relationship.

Or do you mean when he left her for another woman? It happens. People are dumb to hate him for that. Especially when Aniston herself seems to be on friendly terms with him.
To your original point though, I agree his filmography is as solid as they come. I think he’s deserving of his success.

I think he was stupid for leaving Jennifer Aniston. She seems WAY saner than Angelina. But he makes a lot of good decisions as far as his career is concerned. Could very well be the Gen X version of Robert Redford.

I didn't see that recent one because I considered the combination of him and DiCrapio just a step too far.
Having said that, some of these I have seen and they were good-ish but not sure about his acting. Isn't there a really bad overacting scene with him in Seven? Pretty sure it was considered hilarious at the time...
His acting can be very samey sometimes. In 12 Years a Slave he was pretty much playing himself.
