At least it's not "saving the planet" bullshit like Clooney's coffee commercial.

His ad is not bad but it doesn't matter what kind of machine you're using, if the beans you're buying are just average, you're coffee is not going to be that great anyways.

The best beans are the ones you buy from independent roasters that you can usually find locally if you shop around or they will mail it to you. I like reading the reviews on the latest coffees made by the micro-roasters at coffeereview.com. They're a little pricey but I think it's worth it.

And yes, black coffee REALLY does taste like this if it's quality stuff. It needs to be freshly roasted beans as well. You don't want to buy coffee beans that have been sitting for a long time, coffee beans lose their natural flavors about 2-4 weeks after roasting. The micro-roasters will roast the beans then mail them to you.
