Revolting and nasty piece of shit

Typical for American 'heroes' like the repulsive John Wayne, racist Walt Disney and hypocritical bigot J.Edgar Hoover

You beat me to it. I'm so tired of revisionist bullshit.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES.

America seems to portray itself to itself as loving these cruel, mean, sons of bish, selfish, arrogant, vengeful violent rich people. I wonder if that is a media creation or really how people really think. They say Americans all think secretly think they will get super-rich someday and dream about being able to be like this, and that is why so many people vote against what is demonstrably in their political best interest. But is that really true, or is it just something we see so often in the media that people repeat it and it develops a life of its own?

reply

He was a genuinely generous and warm hearted man but passionate - good friend and bad enemy.

reply

Well, that is true of anyone, but the bad enemy part can be a problem. I remember comedian Tom Dreeson used to talk about Sinatra, and he had this routine where he acted terrified of his backlash should he say anything wrong, but it signified something that apparently many people felt and was kind of a stereotype about Sinatra, vengeful. Same kind of thing with Trump.

I guess the problem I have with that is that what it is is rich and powerful people punching down on people with lesser power - they seem cruel and bullying.

reply

To a point. Everyone wants to be rich but I think very few of them want to become monsters in the process.

reply

Yeah, see my earlier post.

reply

I like him, his music mostly but also his performance in Von Ryan's Express.

What a voice the man had!

reply

Yeah, VRE was a good movie.
Old Blue Eyes was a pretty good actor.
And he certainly knew how to Von Ryan Express Mia Farrow.

reply

Another OP displaying his total ignorance about John Wayne.

reply

I will not hear a word against Da Dook !

reply

Public Enemy would agree with the OP

reply

Frank became famous because he was connected. A horse's head can do wonders.

reply

I'm sure the Itai's ;-) were very proud of Francis. He was a great entertainer and actor.

I'm less concerned about the Mafia then than I am who they are and what they are doing today.

Happily, the OP is no longer here.
Her/his bile is gone. The OP gave not an iota of evidence why The Chairman was a “revolting and nasty piece of shit”—although that phrase reeks of redundancy—but offered amble evidence of his/her’s pathological hatred of my country. Yes, Frank was backed by made guys, who also backed The Four Seasons, Bobby V., Bobby D. and I don’t know how many other Italian-heritage pop singers in the 40s-to-60s. What the fuck of it? Doesn’t mater how many DJs they coerced. THE PUBLIC WON’T BUY IT IF THEY DON’T LIKE IT. Sinatra had the best phrasing of any pop singer, EVER, with the possible exception of Eva Cassidy, who died at 32 so she never had the chance to develop further🥲🥲. My guess is that you know ZERO about music, but you love trying to denigrate my homeland. I’ll leave it up to those who read this to decide what kind of a person you were.
