Saw the Robert Altman documentary about J.D.
It was interesting to see something from very close to Jimmy's time, before the decades of legend had overlain the story.
One of the things that stood out to me was how Jimmy did things that would have likely ruined the career of a lesser mortal: leaving the Actors Studio after being criticized, quitting a successful play two weeks into its run. I had heard or read these things before, but for some reason it was much more impactful in context.
