David Selznick discovered Ingrid Bergman and shot Intermezzo in a natural way. Bergman became a great star via For Whom The Bells Toll, Notorious, Bells Of St. Mary's, and of course Casablanca.
Bergman is dead so many years and I hope remembered for her wonderful performances.
When Bergman returned to Hollywood in 1959 she was given a thunderous minutes long ovation. Bergman's "scandal" seems so trivial today.
