Super Slow, Again

Movie Chat is bogged down, again, so slow it's almost unusable. Wonder how long it will go on this time.

reply

Seems fine my end.

reply

I take that back it's a little laggy.

reply

YUP...HOPEFULLY IT IS A SHORT TIME ISSUE.

reply

It is very slow for me at times. I was thinking of posting myself.

reply

We can use the slow down to take the time to make well thought out mindful posts that everyone can enjoy.

apparently Nimba and his evil minions at filmboards are trying to hack MC again. dont let them get away with this!

That Vlad guy claims this to be the case, but I don't think so. It is a crime punishable by jail time. Who would be dumb enough to risk that?

Signed, million man.

reply

Vlad said that? He's one of the few rational people over there.

I cannot create a new thread as of tonight. The Check if your are Human test tells me my browser is out of date. I am using Windows 7 on a 13-year-old computer. I have been a member here for over 7 years.

Your Cloud response offers this as a solution:

Resolve a challenge:
If a visitor encounters a challenge, Cloudflare employees cannot remove that challenge. Only the website owner can configure their Cloudflare settings to stop the challenge being presented.

When observing a Cloudflare Challenge page, a visitor could:

Successfully pass the challenge to visit the website. DOES OT WORK!
Request the website owner to allow their IP address. - Please do this.

I have a 13 year old Core-i5 that runs Win 10&11 very well. Also have an older Core 2 that runs Win 7/10 OK.
If your Win 7 was licenced the upgrade was free (too late now). Way too many Cloudflare checks though.

Mod4 suggested removing the MovieChat cookie. It worked! I had to log in for the first time in eight years. I no longer get the "Your browser is out of date" when I create a new thread. But it still CRASHES a LOT here!

I could always use my Chromebook here and the latest version of Firefox for Windows 7, 32 bits works too.

But Firefox is a memory hog and stalls a lot. I don't like the Chromebook mouse pad and I don't think I can download a Word or Word clone onto it.

Mod4 is a good ace. Knows his stuff.

reply

Yup, the same here. It started sometime today.
