RIP David Lynch

RIP

He was one of my favorites at 17... Still love "The Elephant Man" and "the Straight Story"

Yes. Sad news. A top tier director and ‘idea man’ with over a hundred projects.

RIP Sir💐

Yeah, saddest news since Bowie died.

R.I.P. Great David! 😥😥My wish for a new feature film after Inland Empire won't be fulfilled...
Forgive me for having your Dune among my very favorite movies!

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend seeking out a copy of the fanedit of Dune by spicediver. Very impressive work.

I know of an extended uncut version of the movie, 3-hour duration. It features a 'comic book' prologue among others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YirGc7DRJi0
Spicediver is credited, but the one you linked doesn’t include that prologue.

reply

I think this is his third release, so the comic bit might be from a prior one.

reply

Twin Peaks of course was his greatest work.

My favorite Lynch movie is "Wild at Heart".

I see him as the greatest contemporary director. I don't care who disagrees.

reply

I often think about how different this classic film would have been with him at the helm(he was the original choice for Director...)
