Welles manages to contradict himself very entertainingly at the end, but I think he may be onto something. Is watching too many films bad for your appreciation of films?

shareIt just depends how far you're able to tell fiction in movies apart from reality.
Sadly an ever increasing percentage of people in the western world cannot tell fiction from reality, i.e. the descriptions of "aliens" that people claim to have seen usually match what they look like in the latest scifi movies.
As long as you can keep fiction and reality separate I don't think there's a "too many" in watching movies.
I have not watched the link, but this is not the right place for that kind of recommendation...ππ
