1. The last minute gift purchase for the unexpected, extra, or forgotten guest.
2. Getting your dish ready for the company potluck..
3. The kitchen cleanliness war as room, food, and counter space fight over necessity and priority
4. The annual unexpected disaster; for example: Backed up sewer, the dishwasher leak, the car repair, or the dreaded weather event.
5. The call to the Ex for scheduling time with kids. If it's not you, there's a good chance someone in the family is dealing with this.

Nothing left to do!!! My house has been cleaned and I'm ready to relax!

1 Christmas Eve will be very quiet and I'll be by myself - which I'll throughly enjoy - will watch A Christmas Story. All 3 of my parties are over and family get-togethers are done.
2. Christmas Day - I'm going to dinner at a friends house.
3.Thursday - will pick up my grandson and we are going to go see the new Lion King movie and get pizza - he's spending the night
5. Friday -I have a friend with a 3-D printer and I'm taking him over there to make something, then back to my son's house where I'll get together with his step-kids.

Constantly remind yourself not to eat any chocolate or other snacks during the day because there will be a big dinner with the family.
Time the coffee you drink from the thermos so it's empty just before dinner and we can make fresh coffee for the guests.
Check the list of ingredients for the planned dinner and go to the grocery to get the one thing you're missing (there always is one).
Recharge all the batteries for all the blinking decorations in the house so they won't run out of power during the evening.
Put away the things from your computer desk that you never put away at any other day of the year, just to make your desk look clean and organized.
