Need a good mystery thriller movie/show/documentary

Are you after mysteries *and/or* thrillers based on true stories/events? Or strictly documentaries *about* thrilling *and/or* mysterious events? Or somewhere in the middle? Open to sci-fi/horror, or want them firmly grounded in reality? Preferred language? Okay with subtitles?

A couple favorites that are both thrillers *and* mysteries until I get more specifics:

I search IMDB every few weeks for new ones. This is my favorite genre, so there's not much I haven't seen. Knuckleball was my most recent favorite.

Did you see Reptile with Benito del Toro? I thought it was pretty good. A little contrived but entertaining.
