This is objectively bad. It's a rehash of the plot of the original with a cheap looking production.
But... I'm going enjoy watching it tonight.

The surfing and basketball scenes are incredibly stupid but it is an otherwise fun movie. The first Escape was very much better👍

The surfing looks terrible but what other movie has Snake Plisken chasing Steve Buschemi in a car while riding a surfboard?
That's the fantasy we needed from more movies. We had to wait until Sharknado to appreciate it.
