Have You Had Any Trick or Treaters Today?

The Dutch media claimed this week that 1 in 2 Dutch people celebrates Halloween. However, I know nobody who celebrates it, I haven't seen any kids dressed up, I haven't seen any announcements for parties, parades or any other gatherings, the stores were still filled with unsold Halloween stuff, there was just one tv channel showing a horror movie tonight and this past week I've seen only 3 houses (none of them in the neighbourhood) that had Halloween decorations (which may even have been general autumn decorations instead).

Only about 5 or 6.

Nope.

We had snow.

Not on my street - even though we're within the city limits it's like a country lane - winding, hilly, no sidewalks, so I go to a friends house where there are a lot of kids and pass out candy. We had rain off and on all day - less kids than last year. I gave out 42 mini bags of Cheetos and then ran out - probably could have gone through another box.
