What's the best MacBeth?
There's like 30 of them and I don't want to do my own research. I will await your guidance.
shareThrone of Blood is probably the best version of the story on film. But, of course it's in Japanese.
If you require a version that uses the original text, the Polanski film has a nice balance between the cinematic and the theatrical. And it's suitably bleak. I'd say that's the best English language version.
If you want basically a filmed version of the stage play, the Patrick Stewart one from 2010 is decent.
