Halloween decorations

I love Halloween.

But, do we really need Halloween products pushed out mid August?

Lowes had some fun items but it's too early for this stuff. Is the corporate retail industry so desperate that they have to make us think every month needs a major holiday?

reply

WAY too early!
I guess the big box stores need to make billions of dollars a year and they do create jobs but GOSH it all just gives me anxiety!

Let’s all calm down, there are still butterflies and ladybugs in the garden, take a deep breath and relax guys!

reply

Totally. At least let a few leaves turn color first.

Not in a big rush to see
time pass, God don’t want me lol.

Bro!! A week ago I was at the dollar store and I was stuck behind this creepy couple who had a cart filled with Halloween decorations and candies.
Not only they worked on my patience as there was about $100 worth to scan in there but I judge them.

Here's what kids are like. Substitute "candy" for "brandy"

It's never too early or late of Halloween!

reply

Same here and I don't know a single person who celebrates Halloween.

Halloween is a big deal around here, we light up the house with garish swirling projectors, put out cute little ghosts in the trees and place pumpkins everywhere and the whole neighborhood has a big party. It is fun but I don’t want to see Halloween stuff in stores before early October.

reply

Mid-August? I've already seen Halloween candy displays up in stores since mid-July. That's the last thing I want to see in the middle of the miserable summer heat. This cheapens the experience of the holiday.
There should be no mention of Halloween before October 1.

Save the holiday season.

Preach it sister!

Labor Day weekend is in about two weeks and I think it's safe to say summer is almost over. I use to work in retail and my store began setting up the Halloween and Merchandise section towards the end of August. There's always shoppers who like to plan ahead.
