I like the bass but the vocals are very grating.
shareNo lower than a 7, but I can see varying opinions and a rating as high as a 9-10 based on the experimental avant-garde aspect. As Uncle Shogie mentioned, a pretty cool bass line, and I can dig the distortion. Sounds like something The Chemical Brothers could fuck around with, like they did with ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’; add some lyrics and more layers, invite Noel Gallagher to the session and voilà: you get something like ‘Setting Sun’….
I always preferred her work with the Dirty Mac and Israeli virtuoso fiddle player Ivry Gitlis. Good instrumentation by some heavy hitters and a full display of Ono’s standard grating vocal expressions:

An imagined 3/10.
shareI had no idea this "sister" album to the one I am familiar with existed!

"No lower than a 7, but I can see varying opinions and a rating as high as a 9-10 based on the experimental avant-garde aspect." -- That sounds about right to me.
