shareHate it. Don't like seeing animals used like that. Cat does not look happy.
I thought you meant a MovieChat member!
Here's a famous poster I hated when I was a kid in the late 1960s. The essence of feel-good bumper sticker philosophy.

Haha. I've always hated that stupid poster.
shareI'm not a fan of the way it looks like an undeveloped photo.
shareAny poster Hall of Fame would feature:
Uncle Sam

Rosie the Riveter

Gee!! I wish I were a man, I'd join the Navy

Ah, classics!
Wartime poster art was always interesting to me.
10 out of 10 for the message.
Image itself is a 4 out of 10.
Like this version better:

That was the original that sparked loads of knockoffs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hang_in_there,_Baby
Iconic enough to be referenced on The Simpsons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9y6a4LDWKZU
I like it because it looks like the cat is doing a pullup. At the same time though, the looks a bit unnatural, and creepy. Is that a real cat? Because I don't think it is.
shareI read the wikipedia, apparently it IS a real cat. Photographing the cat doing acrobatic poses was goal, so the pullup look is intentional.
He claims that the cat did the poses on its own, but I highly doubt it. The cats hind claws being out, with their legs and feet fully extended, the tail being fluffed out like a raccoon, the wide eyes, the pinned back ears. that cat was in fear. I like the idea of the picture, but I wouldn't necessarily hang up the original poster. Compare that to how relaxed this cat looks in a similar pose.
