I have a very good friend who owns numerous firearms. I only visit him a few times a year but we always go to the gun range. You're right. Lots of fun!

I've been going less and less often over the last few years, alas, for scarcity and monetary reasons.
Now that you've mentioned it, I could probably get a case of reloads and brush up on some fundamentals at my local indoor range. (Double up on earpro in there!)
It really is a fun and social activity, and after an hour or two, it really clears my head, akin to meditation, due to the intense concentration required to follow all the safety rules, all the while keeping my groups as tight as possible.
Gotta try a few new outdoor ranges, as the two I frequented are no more...
I've grown up around guns and I don't go to gun ranges but I shoot at my family's farm land. I like shooting sporting clays with my shotgun.

I took my son hunting a few weeks ago but we didn't see a single grouse or pheasant. We eventually got bored and lit up a stump real good though.
We used a Mossberg 12 gauge loaded with #6 shot and we took a sweet little .22 Marlin semi-auto for fun. Shooting is a good time.
